For volunteer-run youth leagues
Set up tonight. Open registration tomorrow.
LeagueOwl runs a youth sports league end to end: sign-ups and payments in one checkout, teams and coaches from your own volunteers, a schedule built from the gym time you actually have, and one message that reaches every family.
Free for your first season. No password to remember. Parents never need the website.
Practice tonight, 6:00 pm
Jefferson Elementary Gym · court 2
Game Saturday, 11:00 am
Snack: nobody yet · Drinks: Priya’s family
Parent, coach and admin at once? Tap a hat. The app always tells you which one you are wearing.
A Google Form, a Venmo, a spreadsheet of rosters, and a group text per team.
One place. Families register and pay in one go; you see every sign-up, every payment, every team.
A weekend with a spreadsheet, sliding practices around two gyms by hand.
Enter the hours you have. Press Generate. Change anything by hand. Publish.
“Did everyone see the text about the gym?” Nobody knows.
Every change reaches every family on the channel they chose — push, text or email — and you can see it did.
The part nobody else does
The schedule builds itself from the gym time you have.
Tell LeagueOwl which gyms you can use and when. It places every practice and game, keeps each division at one gym where it can, leaves room for the floor to turn over, and flags anything it could not fit. Press the button.
Winter 2026-27 · week of Dec 8

For families
One link. One checkout. Siblings included.
A parent opens your link, ticks their children, sees only the divisions each child fits, and pays once. Volunteering to coach or be the team parent is a tick on the same form. Try it.
- Sibling discounts and late fees worked out for them
- Card or bank, straight to the league’s own account
- No cash to collect — waive a fee in one click when a family needs it
- Children never have accounts. Parents act for them.
Who is playing?
- Amara$95.00
Due$95.00
One payment, card or bank, straight to the league’s own account. Sample fees for a made-up league.
For the volunteer running it
An evening to set up. A few minutes a week after that.
You do not need to know everything on day one. The setup guide tells you what is next and what can wait, so gym hours you are still waiting on never stop registration opening.
Open registration.
- You will need
- The season dates, the fee, your age groups, and the league’s bank details for Stripe.
- What can wait
- Gym times, coaches and the schedule can all wait.
- Name the league
- Season and fee
- Divisions
- Connect Stripe
- Open registration
Some things it will never do.
- No accounts for children
- Every child is entered and controlled by a parent. Nothing is ever shown to a child directly.
- No shared phone numbers
- Families reply to the coach, never to each other. Numbers stay private unless the league says otherwise.
- No public photos
- Team photos are seen only by that team’s families. There is no public sharing, and any parent can ask for one to come down.
- No double notices
- One change, one message per family, on the channel they chose. Never three.
Questions a league asks first
What does it cost?
Your first season is free. Card payments, when you use them, carry the card processor’s own fee, which you can absorb or pass to families.
What if I do not know our gym hours yet?
Open registration anyway. Gym hours are needed before you generate a schedule, not before sign-ups, and they can change.
Do parents have to install an app?
No. Everything a parent does works on the website, including on a phone. The app adds push notifications and is on its way to the stores.
Can a child be in two leagues at once?
Yes. A family with a child in basketball and another in soccer sees both on one screen, and LeagueOwl points out when two leagues collide.
What sports?
Any. It was built for a youth basketball league first, and the words on screen — gym or field, game or match — change with the sport.
Run your league in an evening.
Three questions to create the league, three steps to open registration. Everything else waits until the sign-ups are in.
